Easy Banana Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar (you can use less if you prefer it less sweet)
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix Ingredients:
    • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
    • Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
    • Mix in the baking soda and salt.
    • Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  3. Add Flour: Gradually add the flour to the banana mixture, stirring just until combined. Do not overmix. If you’re using nuts or chocolate chips, fold them in at this stage.
  4. Prepare the Pan: Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan with butter or non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Pour Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
